We were in Victoria again trying to grab a quick meal before going to the theatre. Timmy Green was nearby and we thought it was worth a try. Timmy Green is very much on trend with the neon lighting, numerous potted plants and marble table-tops – so it certainly looked the part of a modern restaurant. So far so good.
Timmy Green had quite a few vegetarian and vegan friendly options such as the Byron bhel puri salad, halloumi fries or the jackfruit curry. In the end, I opted for the Fire roasted aubergine which was served with crispy rice, kale, miso, tahini, coconut and chilli flakes. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was delicious! I was pretty much wiping the plate clean. The crispy rice and kale made a nice contrast to the lovely soft roasted aubergine. I didn’t try the other veggie options, but I am happy to recommend this one!
Timmy Green is a lovely light and airy spot, where I did enjoy the food. The service was unfortunately a little slow which did cause some anxiety before heading to the theatre so I’d suggest coming with a little more time than we did. From all reports, their brunch menu is also very good and it does seem to be quite popular given the number of people that kept strolling in.
Give it a try – enjoy!
