The Providores and Tapa Room are two parts that make up a wonderful eatery on Marylebone High Street. The Providores is the restaurant upstairs whilst the Tapa Room is on the ground floor and has a more relaxed café style to it. On this occasion we sat downstairs in the Tapa Room to enjoy a wonderful brunch. The Tapa Room does not take bookings so you just have to try your luck and see how busy they are.
My absolute favourite dish here which I order without fail is the Turkish eggs. This is an amazing concoction of poached eggs, whipped yoghurt and chilli butter served with sourdough. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
If that doesn’t tempt you then don’t worry, there plenty of other options – it’s just that the Turkish eggs are my favourite! If you don’t feel like eggs, there are plenty of other options on the menu including granola or fruit based choices. There are also scones and doughnuts on display if you prefer something that is ready to go.
The Tapa Room is small, but they do make every effort to seat you as soon as possible. The food is delicious and it is a great way to start your day!
If you are looking to eat later on in the day, you can indulge in the all-day menu in the Tapa Room or the special Lunch or Dinner menu upstairs – there are lots of options for all sorts of dietary requirements.
This is a real gem of Marylebone and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
