The first thing to know about me is that I have grown rather tired of eating mushroom risottos.
I’m sure there are other vegetarians out there who may be able to relate.
I’m a vegetarian married to a meat eater with friends and family that are split across both camps. Actually, there are some vegans in the mix so let’s say split across three camps.
I will happily admit that I am not a fabulous cook (although I am trying). However I do love food and I do love eating out.
Now my aim is pretty simple: Seek out the restaurants that make eating out as a vegetarian or a vegan a more enjoyable experience (a.k.a. no more mushroom risottos).
So how does it work? All of the restaurants here are places where I have eaten and would recommend (to varying degrees). They are not all exclusively vegetarian, in fact most of them are friendly to both my vegetarian comrades and our carnivorous friends.
There are some fancy places, some casual places, some which are vegan friendly, and some where there are only a few vegetarian options – but they are good options.
Even if you’re not vegetarian, you might be dating one, or have a client who is so inclined, or just feel like eating a little less meat…whatever your reason for stopping by, I hope this makes your life a little easier.
I’m always on the hunt for new places, so if you have any suggestions then please drop me a line. I’m based in London, but always enjoy an excuse to travel so all suggestions are welcome!
I can’t wait to hear from you…
P.S. My sincere apologies to any mushroom risottos insulted by this post – it’s nothing personal, we had a good run, it’s just time for us to both move on…
